I have not been the most fervent Obama supporter and have not liked his "move to the right". I've been told this is politically necessary which may be true but I thought he was doing well enough before.

We cannot expect miracles from Obama or anyone else but look at the alternative, the Bush clone McCain who can only promise 4 more years continuation of the most disastrous administration we have ever had.

Get over it America and vote for Obama!

The animated GIF above, I believe, says what has to be said: McCain would merely deliver more of the same. Only voters who *fail* to think about what has happened to America during the past eight years are likely to cast their votes for this allegedly "maverick" Republican who, it turns out, is far less an agent of change than a vehicle for continuation of the failed policies of one of the worst administrations in American history. McCain has tried to reinvigorate his campaign by including a woman on the ticket, but certainly there are Republican women who would have been far better prepared for the VP post (e.g., Maine's Olympia Snowe). Choosing Palin completely undermines McCains's already weak argument that Obama lacks the experience necessary to be president: she has held office as the governor of Alaska for less than two years. Her extremely conservative social views appeal not so much to women but to evangelicals, to whose divisive ranks she firmly belongs. Those who supported Hillary are not likely to be "baited" by such an extremist candidate whose values are a far cry from those championed by Clintonian feminists. If McCain--with his history of health problems--were to become disabled or die, would you really want Palin to occupy the Oval Office? She has no foreign policy experience, and had to be issued a passport (her first?) as late as 2007! The choice for 2008 is clear. Obama/Biden is the only sensible way to go.
